Ray Alford Individual Achievement Award
Co-Director Jamie Lambert recieved the Ray Alford Individual Achievement Award at the Surface Engineering Association Gala Dinner & Awards ceremony held at the House of Lords in Westminster London; a recognition for people who have made the most outstanding contribution to the industry.
Ray Alford Individual Achievement
A special award for the person who has made the most outstanding contribution to the industry.
Winner. This award’s application process was more unique than the others, as the nominee wasn’t informed as to being a finalist; or being made aware of the application for this award. Jamie made ground breaking territory after becoming the youngest winner of this award and only being in the industry 11 years. The award was presented to him by Lord Hoyle and the sponsors of the event.
The Ray Alford individual achievement is held to such high esteem, Jamie shared this award with another individual who had been in the industry for over 50 years as the panel were unable to make a unanimous decision to either person.
Jamie Lambert is the eldest son of Frank and Sandy Lambert, founders and directors of F.H.Lambert Ltd. Nearing Frank’s retirement he felt that both Jamie and his younger son Daniel were perfect choices to head up and direct F.H.Lambert into a new era. Jamie’s background and “passion of aircraft” was not limited just to interiors but he has been a licensed pilot since 2010.
Jamie was nominated by Daniel Lambert (Co-Director) in complete secrecy, who spoke of his older brother as someone who has worked “tirelessly during his 11 years”. He was also described also being the instigator in many of the company’s achievements such as purchasing new premises, championing the new environmental changes and implementing a “faultless computerised booking in system”.
As well as a nomination by Daniel, Anthony Pruden (Production Manager) also said of Jamie “it was obvious from the outset that he had an enormous enthusiasm and strong work ethic”, Eric Planke-Bichler (Quality Advisor) spoke of Jamie’s efforts to “market the business and ensures the company regularly has a stand at major exhibitions” and finally Campbell Wilson (Company Accountant) “Jamie has within a few years, built on the foundation laid by his father and continued to develop and enhance the business”.
Overall this has been one of F.H Lambert’s most successful years to date are continuing to grow and maintain the high standards set 50 years ago. Their future guarantees them flying high in their field!
